Eight $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. One for each participating school. These scholarships are open to student members who meet GPA and application requirements. The program honors students for their academic achievement, leadership skills, and involvement in the community.

• Student or parent(s) must be Ascension Credit Union member in good standing or will become a member
• Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of the latest semester
• Must be accepted at an accredited college or university

The Ascension Credit Union Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students seeking an Associate of Applied Science in Business Office Administration and/or an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer Business Track. The $1,250/semester scholarship will be awarded the fall semester and may be renewed for the spring semester if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA in the Business Office Administration and/or AALT Business Track major.

Scholarships will be prorated for part-time students (6-11 credit hours).

The Ascension Credit Union Scholarship is funded through the generosity of the Ascension Credit Union.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the qualifications in at least one of the following groups:

• Applicant must be enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science in Business Office Administration and/or an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer Business Track.
• Applicant must be enrolled in Credit Courses.
• Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Applicant must reside in Ascension or designated areas of Assumption, Iberville, or St. James parishes.
• Applicant must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours per semester.
